do make this my last will and testament in manner
and form following. That is to say first and principally I
commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God my
heavenly father hoping through merits of Christ Jesus
my redeemer to obtain the pardon of all my sins
and an inheritance among the saints in light. And my body
I commit to the earth in hope of a joyful resurrection to
eternal life. And as touching all such temporal
estate as it hath pleased Almighty God to bestow upon
me I give and dispose thereof as followeth. First
my will and mind is that all my debts and funeral
expenses be paid. Item I give to William my natural
son one shilling. Item I give unto Dorothy my daughter
one shilling. Item I give unto my daughter Elizabeth
now wife of Richard Iredale ten pounds. Item I give
to my daughter Sarah now wife of John Crowder
five pounds. Item I give all the rest of my estate
unto John and Abram my sons equally betwixt
them. Only the goodwill or tenant right of the
messuage or tenement where I now live possess and enjoy
which said tenant right I give unto John my son whom I appoint
joint executor with Abram my son aforesaid of this my
present last will and testament revoking all former wills
by me heretofore made. And moreover my will and mind is
that if John should happen to die without child my will
is that my farm or tenement should go to Abram
my son at the decease of John my son aforesaid.
Likewise my will is that the said legacies be paid
by my executors aforenamed within the space of
six months after my decease.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal
